Anime Showcase

Hello, this is my anime showcase. This is just a quick summary of some really great animes! There are also some icons featured, none of them belong to me, I got them from random sites.

This is dedicated to my good friend Hiei-chan

 

Samurai Champloo. Samurai Champloo is an anime that centers on three characters, Jin, Mugan, and Fuu. Fuu enlists the help of two samurai who were about to be sentenced to death. The goal is for Fuu to find “The Samurai Who Smells of Sunflowers”. Fuu saved Jin and Mugan from the death sentence so that they would help her.

Fullmetal Alchemist. Fullmetal Alchemist is a chronicle of a boy who practices a Science called “Alchemy” in which something is changed into something else following the principal of equivalent exchange. This boy, Edward Elric, must go on a journey with his brother, Alphonse (Al) to learn the truth.

Shin Chan. Shin Chan is an anime of great comedy. It spoofs things like politics and happenings in the world. It features Shin Nohara and his parents, Mitzi & Hiro, and his little sister Hima. Shin is always seen flaunting his butt.

Inuyasha. Inuyasha is a story of a half-demon, or Hanyou who seeks a sacred jewel to turn himself into a full-demon. Kagome, a girl from present day Japan finds herself to have fallen down a well and discovers she is now in feudal Japan. She accidentally shatters the jewel into shards, so she has to help Inuyasha find them all.

Dragon Ball Z. Don’t you just love this classic anime. It features Son Goku and his defeat of many villains including Cell, a scaly green guy! This is plenty of action all packed into this anime.

Death Note. Death Note is a story of a young student, Light Yagami, who finds a note book lying around. Inside this book lay instructions on how to write in the name a person wanted dead to kill them. Light assumes it is a prank, but later try it out and discovers that is truly works. So, he decides to create a utopia ruled by him and kills off criminals. Meanwhile, a great detective, L, is leading a hurt to stop all these merciless killings.

 

Yu Yu Hakusho. Yu Yu Hakusho is the story of a boy who died saving a younger boy from being hit by a car. This guy who saved the boy, Yusuke, died and now he has to find a way to come back. He is greeted in the Sprit World by the spunky blue-haired grim reaper, Botan. Yusuke is to become a Spirit Detective and destroy demons. He will eventually go on to meet Kurama, a red haired fox demon, and Hiei, a spiky haired fire demon.

Rurouni Kenshin. Rurouni Kenshin is the tale of a man named Kenshin who was once a manslayer. He brutally killed many. Now he is living in a simple dojo and has decided to repent for his dirty deeds.

One Piece. One Piece is about Monkey D. Luffy an enthusiastic 17 year old who decides he wants to become “The King of The Pirates”. To meet his goal, Luffy assembles a crew and sets out to find the treasure of all treasure, One Piece.

Fruits Basket. Fruits Basket is the story of a girl called Tohru Honda, who discovers a secret belong to the Sohma family. The secret is that when one of the twelve people possessed by the spirits of the animals of the Chinese Zodiac is hugged by the opposite gender they transform into their counterpart animal.

 

 

Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon is about a girl who discovers her fate is to be a hero! So she and the other “Sailor Scouts” who take the name of the planets fight crime in Japan

 

 

Vampire Knight. Vampire Knight is a Shojo love story about a girl who goes to a school where human unwittingly coexist with vampires. Kaname, is a pureblood vampire, and Zero is a former human, the lead girl, Yuki, is in a love triangle between the two.

 

Absolute Boyfriend. Absolute Boyfriend is about a 16 year old girl who never could get a boyfriend. One day she meets a outlandish salesman, Gaku, and he tells her of a company that creates android ‘love figures’. Riiko, this girl is then caught between he ‘figure’, Night and her childhood friend, Soshi.

 

Bleach. Bleach is a show about a 15 year old boy who joins a society of Shinigami (death gods) to pay a debt to a Shinigami, or Soul Reaper who saved him and his family. Soon this Soul Reaper gets sentenced to death, and since it was because e she helped him, he set out to set her free.
